Hi, guten Tag! I'm Lynne and I have been a languages teacher for over 30 years, teaching German in both state and top independent schools in the North East of England. I have taught beginners, GCSE, IGCSE and A Level, with a proven track record of success.
I also teach English as a second language to adults, from beginners to C2.
I look forward to helping you reach your language goals, whatever they may be.

MA (Distinction) in German Literature - University of Nottingham
PhD in Austrian Literature - University of Nottingham
PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in Modern Foreign Languages - Durham University
CELTA Pass A (Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults), accredited by Cambridge Assessment English

I offer in-person tuition at my home or yours, in Durham and the surrounding area.
I can also travel to an informal location of your choosing for conversational English.
I offer Zoom lessons to students in the UK and worldwide (during the hours of 09:00-21:00 GMT)

If you are a student struggling with German at school, confused by German grammar, or simply want some last minute revision/speaking practise before your exam, I can help you achieve your best.
English as a Second Language, 1:1, or small groups, up to four participants
A1-C2 English, IELTS preparation, conversational English
English for special purposes, business and academic presentation preparation etc.
(40 GBP per hour in your home, 35 GBP in my home or Online)
Payments possible in GBP, EUR and USD.
